Where to begin

Where to begin? What does that mean to you? I find that right now i am at a new crossroads in my life. But when you think about it every road you take gives you another crossroads. that is part of life. i think people forget what is important. Money seems to be the biggest motivator these days but when you think about it, money is only important to a certain degree and that has to do with what exactly what you are comfortable living with. do you have to live on the ocean in a giant house? do you have to drive an expensive car. what does a giant house and expensive car with a high paying job do for you? the anwser is absolutley nothing. i know what you are thinking. "i want to provide for my family". i can totally understand that but can't you provide for you family and live comfortably without a million dollar home and a lambo? these things are just like money itself. the value of it is determined by an ideal. it is only important to us because we think it is important. look at diamonds. why are they so valuable? it doesn't provide you with anything that you need to survive. it doesn't create fire, water, food, energy, comfort, a friend. what does a million dollars do for you? yeah it can help but does it make your life better? society would lead you to believe it does with all of the propoganda it produces on T.V. a typical car commercial show attractive people in a big house with a lot of people who admire them or something to that effect. but does it really make your life better? people forget to focus on what is trully important. in face, a lot of people don't even know what is important. the reason behind this is because it can lead you down a road that is unknown and scary. Once you realize how lost our society is and try to find out what is important you start to think about life. that can be very scary. what does this all mean. how does science play into all of this. What is after death? Is there anything? The ultimate quest is for truth and purpose. Truth can be very scarry. Most people would rather believe a structured lie than search for an unknown truth. My question to you is this. WHAT IS REAL? Define real for yourself and go from there. Good luck my friends.

A Passing Thought

a great quote comes to mind from the movie Bruce Almighty (funny place to get a spiritual quote) "In order for god to paint this masterpeice, he has to use some cool colors (cool of course describing the darker side of the color spectrum such as blue and purple). To me this means that in God understands and accepts that there is going to be suffering in the world.... that is part of the overall meaning of life. The Bad contrast the Good in life.

Imagine you are a spirit in heaven praising God, and God comes up to you and says "listen my child, i have created a place that is far diffrent from this heaven we are in. It is a place of suffering and torments of all kind, a place that is capable of true evil, but what you will come to realize is that because of how evil this place can be you can exprience true happines through contrast. Because you will have the chance to constantly overcome trials and tribulations your spirit, your soul will grow or deminish depending on the decisions you make". You look at God, happy to have this oppurtunity to get closer to him simply because he created you and you say "of course father, i should have no problem making the right decisions at this new place you speak of, because i know your existence and love. and God looks at you and says, "you wont understand this now, but i am going to take away your memory of me and this place, and your true purpose for being sent to earth. the only thing i am going to give you is an extreme curiosity and a very tiny feeling that there is something more to life.... this will get you started on finding the truth". "why god" you say......."because if you had all the anwsers when you got to earth, you wouldn't have any need to look, and your soul wouldn't have the chance to grow".

WE ARE NOT MEANT TO HAVE THE ANWSWERS, WE ARE MEANT TO SEARCH FOR THEM. ONCE YOU FIGURE THAT OUT YOUR JOURNEY CAN BEGIN.

Monday Morning

it's a new week, and that means alot for some of you....and for some its just another passing day of existence. I ponder almost all of the time about the meaning of life. i'm sure that is a pretty common trait among people. people want to have control and the meaning of life seems to be the one thing that people don't fully understand. Yes some people believe that they understand the meaning of life fully through religon when in reality religon is just a passed along understanding for the most part. it seems that people are told what to believe instead of figuring out things on their own. it's a shame. i am a very spiritual person. i belive that i have good perspective on life and that i have somthing to offer to people looking for anwsers. i don't claim to be better than anyone. i don't claim to be a prophet, or physic of any kind. i just believe that people don't have a very good means to communicate about things of this nature and i would like to change that.
